I enjoyed the unique historical charm of Spaander, with quirky artwork and decor throughout the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the large bathtubs offered a cozy end to the day. Breakfast featured a lovely view of the waterfront, making it a pleasant way to start the morning. The free parking close to the hotel was convenient, especially considering the bustling area. the lack of air conditioning made the warm nights a bit uncomfortable. Check-in took a long time due to system issues, and some staff didn't seem fully aware of the hotel's historical significance or amenities. It feels like the hotel has potential, but they need to manage these aspects better.

during my stay in volendam, spaander was a delightful surprise, exceeding my previous visit. the historic charm radiated through the art-filled dining room, and i loved the stunning balcony view over lake markermeer, perfect for watching the sunset. the charming decor really lent a unique ambiance to the overall experience.

shower pressure was inconsistent.

It was just a good pick for a weekend pause in Volendam with good price-value balance. I loved the free coffee from the fancy machine in the dining room—it was a nice surprise! Be ready for tight driving and limited restaurant hours in town.

The hotel is in a fab spot, close to charming Volendam's colorful houses and the harbor bustling with fishing boats. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning and our kids loved the cozy atmosphere of ourComfort Twin Room.

Room 108 was a major letdown with its view of a wall and an overall dark vibe. There were cobwebs in the corners, indicating a lack of proper cleaning, and the hotel seemed stuck in time. the bathrooms could definitely use a makeover. Internet usage was hit-or-miss during our stay, which made unwinding with a movie tricky, and the overall dining options for late-night dining were quite limited. parking access was confusing due to bollards, making the arrival stressful for first-time visitors.

This place suits me perfectly and offers 24-hour reception, a bar area, and an indoor swimming pool. On my first stay, the staff gave great currency recommendations. A tip, enjoy the free coffee by the bar! I'll be back for Easter.
